Backyard sugarin'

So there's about 1/4 cup maple sugar in here

The 1/2 gallon jar was full of sap -- I boiled it down to make that teeny amount of sugar.

 Eleanor's *other* mom thought it would be a good idea to give her the spoon I used to stir the sugar. She still hasn't put it down a day later:
