Comfort Rd, fifty degrees

Our destination: this lean-to.  Puzzle: it lies uphill and across the stream.  

Gave up for a while to examine some shale.  Hello, ancients.

Then Mayma crossed.  Cold.  Two feet deep, solid, good and wet.  Eventually, found the shallow ridge we were looking for.  Like an underwater bridge.  Kids assessed, took a chance, stayed dry.  Climbed the hill.  Found graffiti and hot cocoa.
